Hi, my name is Jake Hastings

I am 20 years old and am currently in my third and final year of studying BA (Hons) Sports Journalism at the University of South Wales in Cardiff. 

I am currently a media intern at Cardiff City Football Club, where I attend home matches in the press box and press conference area. I write a variety of articles on both the first team and the academy.

I am also a member of the Basingstoke Town Football Club Media Team, who play in the Southern Premier Division South in English Non League. I contribute weekly to the home matchday programme, and when I am back home, I attend home matches, writing a variety of articles.

Writing is definitely my favoured side of journalism, but I am more than happy to do what is required of me. I have experience behind and in front of the camera in regards to taking photos and filming interviews.

As I approach the end of my time at University, I'll be hoping to break into the industry, whether that is an apprenticeship or a full-time job, I am open to anything.
